Why do they have electrical signal?

I had an electrical current detector, and this person set it off. The other person was standing on a power extension lead, so that's understandable. I have a bit longer video as well. The detector has 2 different lights. Orange for under 49 volts, red for over 50 volts. It doesn't have amp
