Orkney Summer Solstice - 59 degrees north

Recorded from the island of Lambholm, home of the Italian Chapel constructed by Prisoners of War who helped construct the Churchill Barriers in WW2 to protect the British Navy in Scapa Flow following the German U-Boat sinking of HMS Royal Oak at anchor.

The summer solstice, with official sunset 22:28 and sunrise 3:59, but with twilight is only 2-3 hours of darkness depending on cloud cover.
