Tacos on Mt Pacifico | Pacific Crest Trail Section Hike

A summit hike with a reward at the end generally comes in the form of awesome views and a nice rest. Hiking Mount Pacifico in the Angeles Forest certainly paid these dividends; however, today’s hike ended up being mucho mas delicioso than most!

Mount Pacifico reaches a height of 7,124 ft but, unlike most of our tall Angeles peaks, this one has an establish campground with picnic tables, toilets and parking. The parking is for those who’d rather take the easier path well-travelled. Those who hike, can make it there via the Pacific Crest Trail.

Having never hiked this peak, but knowing there’d be a comfortable table to sit and eat my celebratory summit lunch, I decided to make it a little more interesting. Carne asada tacos at the top were on the menu and they did not disappoint.
