Over the last few decades, fathers have become more and more absent from their children’s lives. Many children today don’t have a father figure in their life anymore. In fact, many don’t even have a male presence in their life to help guide them. There’s a rise in gang violence, children and young adults getting arrested, fights, and shootings in schools. Could this be connected to the rise in father absence in our homes today? According to our ever-changing culture, fathers aren’t important to the family, but is this true? Are fathers replaceable?
