Pirates & The Public

In this video we will explore the concept of a Republic, as a thing of the entire public; versus corporate interestes. The concept of a Republic is simple, yet not all Republics are equal, nor the same. In discovering this topic, we will look at various sources of evidence, and explore the Republics of the 17th century's North African coast; commonly referred to as the Salee Rovers, Barbary Pirates, Corsairs, and other such labels.
