4 Enormous and Extreme Space Entities You Might Have Never Heard of Before - Space Monsters (Part 1)
The space is full of extreme and massive objects. Some are as massive as our solar system, and quite a bit of them are as large as our galaxy. Because of their bizarre behavior, their size, and their extremity, few of these objects can be entitled "Space Monsters".
In the first part of today's video, we will give you 4 enormous and extreme space entities you might have never heard of before. We'll start right now.
#1. Quasar.
Quasars were first noticed during the 1950s. They were initially thought to be stars. Now we know that quasars are primitive galaxies situated billions of light-years away from Earth. Quasars are so immense that their mass is equivalent to billion suns. powered by black holes, quasars are visible even at the edge of the known universe because they are extremely bright. Every time astrophysicists are learning something new about quasars. With this trend, we'll soon come to know the origins of the universe as we unveil the secrets of quasars.
#2. Supernova
The most massive explosion in space is known as a supernova. In simple words, Supernova is an exploding star with an immense piercing brightness.
Supernova is hard to observe in our galaxy but it has been observed often in our neighboring galaxies.
The supernova phenomenon occurs when a star burns its enormous amount of mass. As a result, it creates two opposite forces. The massive explosion is caused because one force wins over the other and causes a supernova.
#3. Blackhole.
Black holes are extremely dense, with a gravitational pull so strong, that even the light can’t escape it. Some of the black holes are as massive as a million suns put together.
The first black hole, Cygnus X-1, was discovered in 1964. From then on, a great deal of research has uncovered strange facts about the black holes.
Scientists define a black hole’s outer mass as the “event horizon” and the internal mass as “singularity”.
A black hole can’t be seen directly, we can only see its influence especially when it tears down a star with its intense gravitational pull. However, In the year 2019, the first-ever image of the black hole was captured in the andromeda galaxy.
#4. Super Massive Blackholes.
Supermassive black holes are one of the most massive heavenly bodies found in space. Supermassive black holes are initially stellar black holes that are formed When a burnt-out large star collapses into itself.
In time stellar black holes grow in size by attracting other stellar black holes, space dust, dark matter, and gases.
A supermassive black hole's size goes to billions of miles, which means our earth will be like a speck in comparison to it. There is at least one supermassive black hole in every galaxy. The Supermassive black hole in our milky way is known as Sagittarius A. It is 27000 light-years away from earth. In May 2022, the image of Sagittarius A* was captured by an event horizon telescope.
