Ukrainian forces fire U.S. M777 howitzers at Russian positions

Ukrainian forces fired U.S.-supplied M777 howitzers at Russian positions in the eastern Donbas region on June 18. Ukraine has been pushing for the Western-supplied heavy weapons that are now reaching the front lines. The M777 is an upgrade for Ukrainian forces due to its simplicity, precision and rate of fire. The powerful artillery pieces are helping Ukrainian troops reply in kind to Russian batteries.
