Wildlife Prairie Park, Peoria IL

For a fun day trip we decided to check out a local attraction, the Wildlife Prairie Park located in Peoria, Illinois.
The park is 1,800 acres in size. You will find 25 miles worth of well groomed hiking trails and an additional 24 miles of bike trails. Along with the ways to adventure the park you will find 150 species of wildlife enjoying this preserved area, of those 60 different species are native to Illinois. There is a membership option to the park, if you are local and plan on visiting more than twice a year - consider getting a membership as it will be more cost effective. This was our first trip but certainly not our last.
