Haunted for Fourteen Years.

I have been retired for a long time, but for the last 25 years, I was still working in a smaller town in southeast Minnesota. In this town, there was a Mayor that was murdered. The crime went unsolved for some 20-plus years until a man came forward and admitted to murdering the Mayor. He was found guilty and was sentenced, and is still in jail. Are you wondering why someone would confess to a crime they knew they had gotten away with and would have stayed free? This person had what we call a conscience. Here is another very similar story.
