At an early age Al Salvitti earned a black belt in TaeKwondo and fought for over 20 years. He trains US Special Forces on edged weapons and created Regiment Blades to simplify / speed up the their training process.

For these same reasons of simplicity and effectiveness, the Regiment Blade is ideally suited as a personal self defense knife. With little to no training ordinary people can wield this powerful tool. The colonel blade is also an ideal concealed carry weapon carried comfortably inside the waistband (IWB).
