Cherry spitting, Cherry pitting!

Second day of summer, 2022 and feeling the heat! I decided to pick a few cherries...it will be a lot better when most of the cherries are ripe and I can pick them by the clusters. Right now, I'm just...cherry picking. Not data, actual cherries!

After dragging the 8 foot ladder a few feet from the peach tree to the cherry tree, I climbed up top to see if the cherries were riper up there. Nope. Not really. But the breeze felt good! I only picked about a quart of cherries again, but that gave me a chance (before the main harvest comes) to give you a quick look at how I pit cherries. * I apologize for the quiet volume. It's the first time this year I've used the tripod and I forgot that I need to talk more loudly and more distinctly. But I couldn't unpit cherries for a do-over!!
