As I record, we are in the middle of Trump’s second impeachment trial. As the nation listens to the arguments, partisans agree with half of what is being said, and the viscerally object to the other half. Why? Why are we so politically divided? Why does politics divide us. It has to do with brain wiring and our environment.
In this episode I discuss an article from Rene Levy, a researcher at the University of Washington who spend much of his career studying the emotion of hate.
