In this video, we summarize Julian Assange’s extradition hearings day 16. Maureen Baird, a former warden at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, testifies that Assange will likely be placed under SAMs, which would place him in isolation. Additionally, he will not have easy communications with his family and friends. During the afternoon session, a US based criminal defense attorney, Lindsay Lewis, took the stand. Lewis corroborated previous testimony by defense witnesses and added that once an inmate is placed under SAMs, it is extremely difficult to appeal the restrictions.
