Assange Update: Defense Witnesses Testify on What Assange Faces in America’s Espionage Court

During the second week of Julian Assange’s extradition hearing, Eric Lewis and Thomas Dunkin took the stand. Both defense witnesses are criminal defense attorneys and spoke about Assange’s fate in an American court. Assange would be subjected to SAMs, or security measures that apply to national security defendants in the US eastern district court of Virginia. Journalist Mohamed Elmaazi and Tim Dawson of the International Union of Journalists provide statements on today’s court proceedings.
