A large percentage of the Founders of the United States #Constitution were engineers.

Knowingly or not they set up the U.S. Government as a Deep Learning Artificial Intelligence.
Then, through the course of human events, men of lesser intelligence and vision broke it.

How a republic works is in many ways how an AI works with a few critical exceptions that can and should can be fixed. The most important fix is the repeal of the 17th Amendment to restore the primary influence over the US #Senate to the State Governments. The second most important correction would be Constituent Only Campaign Finance Reform (COCFR) for the US House of Representatives and all lower offices. If you can't cast a vote for a person because you not their constituent then you should not be allowed to influence them via direct or in-kind campaign donations.
