Mother elephant saves calf from drowning in India

A calf was in the danger of being swept away by the current as the herd marched across a river. But the mother elephant stepped in to guide her calf to safety. Video was recently filmed by Indian forest officials at Nagrakata in West Bengal, India. Elephants are very good swimmers but there are indeed incidents of these behemoths drowning in fast moving currents.
