The revolution in combat optics has brought the Army back to a full-power rifle system. Why? Range estimation was the number one reason soldiers missed out beyond 300 yards in both World War II & Korea according to S.L.A. Marshall. The revolution in combat optics such as the ACSS reticle has nearly eliminated that issue. So big Army is going back to a full-power rifle cartridge.
