Here's why you shouldn't tell people about your goals! You may have been told, "If you want to achieve your goals, tell them to others." I'm here to give you the opposite advice: keep your goals a secret. Sure, you can talk with a trusted close friend or family member who will be honest with you about what you're trying to achieve. But it's best not to share your goals with people who aren't personally invested in your success.

We all have goals, big or small. Maybe you want to learn a new language, run a marathon, or write a book. Whatever it is that you want to accomplish in your life, some people will tell you why you won't succeed. It doesn't matter what your goal is; if you share it out loud with other people, they will eventually give their unsolicited opinions about how things won't work out the way you want them to. That kind of talk can get into your head and make success seem like an impossible dream.

You may have even told someone about a failure that happened just because they predicted it would happen! Well, there's a simple solution to this problem: stop talking about your goals.
