Today’s podcast is intended to inform you of the mental whiplash inducing narrative shifts through the lens of Alinksy as part of the Deprogram Your Mind Learning Series. I focus on 3 narratives: 1) Insurrectionists, 2) Bodily Autonomy and 3) Gun Violence and in usual fashion I pick them apart through the lens of what they mean to your human psyche.
I review how people who have had their cognitive biases exploited due to deliberate psychological manipulation and rampant logical fallacies find themselves in a state of uncomfortable cognitive dissonance.
I dissect the exploited cognitive biases relating to the 3 narratives, and also the common cognitive biases exploited that lead to cognitive dissonance in general: Ostrich Effect, Belief Bias, Overconfidence Bias, Selective Perception, Confirmation Bias, and Conformity Bias.
Lastly, I wrap-up with the typical responses of people who experience cognitive dissonance. I’ll follow-up with a video later in the week what you can do to take action to reduce cognitive dissonance.
