Disney's attempt to recreate the Star Wars brand with the sequel trilogy was a complete and utter failure sparking fan backlash. J.J. Abrams' The Rise of Skywalker had more questions than answers but to be fair this movie was just the culmination of a trilogy worth of bad decisions beginning in The Force Awakens, continuing in The Last Jedi and then turning into a complete dumpster fire in The Rise of Skywalker.
