Sunday Longplay - Mega Man III (Game Boy)

This week on Sunday Longplay, the Game Boy Mega Man series continues with the third installment released in December 1992, also known in Japan as Rockman World 3! This game follows the formula set by the first two games and incorporates the robot masters from two different NES games (in this case Mega Man 3 and Mega Man 4), with four from each game. Also, a new Mega Man Killer robot is introduced in this game as Punk tries to kill Mega Man before Wily's castle like Enker tried and failed to do in the first game.

Thankfully, the music in this game doesn't grate on your ears like its predecessor's music did, and actually sounds very faithful to the original NES music for the most part. There are some new tunes introduced as well, including the final stage theme which I didn't hear for the first time until RushJet1 remixed it for Wily Stage 2 in the fangame Mega Man 2.5D (since I had never played this game as a kid).
