When it comes to the Police, trust but verify!

Let me say right at the start, I am a huge supporter of the police. But that does not mean I give them respect, or trust, that they have not earned. Police play a pivotal role in society, but their "them against us" mentality, combined with the Police Departments' willingness to tolerate bad behavior historically, means they have work to do.

It is a tough job, but a rewarding one. If you don't like the money, get another job. But good luck getting a pension after 25 years on the job in the real world. There are always trade-offs in life, and police should stop making the excuse they are not paid enough. If that is your issue, you probably should not be a cop. It is a calling for many, and a way to torture, rob, and steal for a few. The many would do well to call out the few if they hope to have the respect they ask for and possibly deserve.
