Bitcoin Magazine's Technical Tuesday: Explaining Statechains With Ruben Somsen

Statechains offer a solution for non-custodial, off-chain transfers of bitcoin by creating 2-of-2 multisig custody between the statechain entity and the user. It's a novel Layer 2 solution that could help with scaling and fee reduction. Though it is not trustless, it does maintain a higher level of censorship resistance than federated sidechains. It's also got the potential to integrate with the Lightning Network and Blind Signatures.
