Get It Right On Broadway

One night George Benson was at a nightclub in New York City and decided to sit in with the house band using a Fender Stratacaster that he borrowed from from one of the band members instead of using his beloved Gibson Les Paul. He got on stage to perform the song most appropriate to him at that moment - "On Broadway" with the house band getting in step with Benson.

It worked then and it works now as a component of today's Segue City Special along with another appropriate tune from Gerry Rafferty about getting it right the next time except this time it was right from the beginning...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
