Straight out of a science fiction movie, suspended animation is now a reality and the future of saving lives.

Today we’ll be learning about a new technology in the biomedical field that is straight out of a sci-fi movie that will essentially put a body in suspended animation. And make it possible to fix traumatic injuries that would otherwise cause death.

It will dramatically help save the lives of gun shot victims, solders on the battle field, sudden heart failure, drug overdose, and accidents.

Traumatic injuries from car accidents and shooting, are the leading cause of death in people under the age of 45.

Less than 5% of Patients who suffer a cardiac arrest from bleeding survive. So this where this new technology called Emergency Preservation and Resuscitation or EPR comes in to save lives.
