Missiles striking Zmiinyi / Snake island, which was abandoned by Russian forces

Russian MOD: "On June 30, as a goodwill gesture, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation finished fulfilling the assigned tasks in Snake Island and withdrew the garrison that had been operating there."

Some suspect it wasn't worth the manpower to hold the island which could be continually struck from Ukraine-controlled Odessa.
