Afghanistan Truce Holds, But Will US China Tensions Keep the War Going?

Positive news out of Afghanistan; the truce declared between the Taliban and the US backed government in Kabul held over the weekend, paving the way for future progress in ending the war. Sadly, I fear the broader geopolitical climate may be going against any chances for peace in Afghanistan as the US is unlikely to give up their presence their given recent tensions with china.
