After the Russian troops withdrew from Zmiinyi Island allegedly as a “gesture of goodwill”, they struck the Island with phosphorus bombs. Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported this.
"Today, around 18:00, from the military airfield in Belbek, a pair of Su-30 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces twice struck Zmiinyi Island with phosphorus bombs, where they allegedly "completed their mission".
