Fort Niagara

Join us as we explore Fort Niagra on Lake Ontario. Fort Niagara was founded by the French in 1726, later captured by the British, then eventually turned over to the US after the Revolutionary War. After the Americans destroyed nearby British Fort George in the War of 1812, the British recaptured Fort Niagra, only to turn it back over after the war concluded. We include select clips from the documentary Fort Niagara: The Struggle for a Continent as well as clips from our tour guide and a demonstration from a British Grenadier reenactor as we explore the fort.
