FBI Arrests Chinese Military Researcher Who Hid in Consulate

The FBI has arrested a Chinese military researcher, Tang Juan, who was hiding out in the San Francisco Chinese consulate. She's alleged to have hidden her ties to a Chinese military university and her membership in the Chinese Communist Party on her visa application. She was a biology researcher, working at the University of California Davis. It comes as during a spike in Chinese espionage, including hackers trying to steal coronavirus vaccine research, as well as the US closing down the Houston Chinese Consulate.
