Inspired by a comment, using a scouring pad for pots and pans, my preference for inorganic mounts and growing inorganically, whilst still somehow giving the roots of the orchids something to dive in to... these mounts came about and are a prototype, so to speak! Michael McCarthy is a living encyclopedia, sharing ideas so generously amongst the Orchid YouTube Community, thank you so very much for that!! I have been 'test driving' these mounts for a couple of weeks now and have come to some conclusions and am sharing these, as well, as other observations, in this video.
