@VideoMattPresents Prominent Canadian psychologist and author Jordan Peterson said he will not remove his tweet about “Umbrella Academy” actor Elliot Page.

“I have essentially been banned from Twitter as a consequence,” said Peterson in a Friday video.

“The suspension will not be lifted unless I delete the hateful tweet in question, and I would rather die than do that.”

Peterson was suspended from Twitter after he said it was wrong for Page to have her breasts removed.

“Remember when pride was a sin?” he said.

“And Ellen Page just had her breasts removed by a criminal physician.”

Twitter said Peterson was suspended for violating the platform’s rules against hateful conduct. Twitter’s rules state people cannot promote violence, threaten, or harass others based on their gender identity.

Peterson’s account was limited to browsing. His account would be restored to full functionality in 12 hours if he deleted the tweet.

He said he did not promote violence against or threaten anyone, which leaves him to believe he was suspended for harassment. He added he should “at least know exactly what I did wrong if I am required to acknowledge that my tweet violated the Twitter rules.”

According to him, his tweet could be considered harassment because saying pride is a sin could offend people who insist on celebrating Pride Month. He said pride is not a virtue, as it has been regarded as a sin in the past.

Peterson said he might have been suspended because he referred to Page as Ellen, which is deadnaming. He went on to say referring to Page as Elliot “would have made it impossible for me to say what I wanted to and need to say in the remaining phrases.”

Peterson said Twitter might have suspended him because he misgendered Page when referring to his breast removal. This surgey, said Peterson, has “enticed many a poor, confused adolescent girl to blame her emergent pubescent self-consciousness, confusion, and discomfort on being born in the wrong body.”

The psychologist referred to Page’s doctor as a criminal physician because he removed healthy body parts. He compared this doctor to the “fascist physicians who carried out the Nazi medical experiments.”

Peterson said he does not intend on removing the tweet.

“Up yours, woke moralists,” he said.

“You woke folks at Twitter, working so hard to improve the world by so carelessly censoring, under the morally superior guise of regulating hate, have no idea what a tangled web you’ve entangled yourself in.”
