What’s Been Going On | Jay’s Heart Surgery | My KarahVan ROCKS!

I spent a LOT of time in the KarahVan last week…

But thankfully, being equipped with all the things a gal needs for several hours away from home a day - and reflectix to help with the insanely higher temps…my KV did not disappoint ❤️. My e-cooler / mini-fridge eBay special died last year but it held ice like the old fashioned type so it wasn't a total loss. It kept my lunches handy and for a 5 day hospitalization for Jay, I only spent $5 on a yummy mac & cheese dish. I was able to save boatloads by bringing my fruit, yogurt, sodas etc...

I’m super happy I took the time to create this unique space! Even more happy I didn't remove my seats - just "stowed" them because after open heart surgery, you're not supposed to sit with a seat that has a front facing airbag. My middle row was the perfect seat!

To summarize what happened, Jay’s been feeling pretty lousy and if not for the additional radiology needed on his lungs, we might not have found the blockages his initial cardiologist totally missed. A repeat CT by the pulminologist to check the status of two lung nodules revealed the real cause of his lack of energy - and shortness of breath.

The nodules are so far listed as benign but are of the size they normally watch. (phew! Thank GOD!)

He’s now recovering at home 🙏🏻. We are looking forward to making some camping plans this Fall!!
