Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics (Switch) - Game #46: Shooting Gallery

Game #46 on our list of 51 Worldwide Classics is one of the simplest games in the collection if not the simplest, Shooting Gallery. Just aim at moving targets, shoot them, and score points. Simple as that. There are three rounds of increasing difficulty, with the second and third rounds introducing penalty targets that deduct 3 points from your score if you hit them, so you have to be careful. Anything else that comes your way, from balloons, to normal targets, to gold targets, to UFOs, shoot them down! This game is just about getting a high score, though you can compete for a higher score with other humans online.

There are no CPU opponents to face (though you can compete for a higher score with another player online), so all you have to do is score 100 points to master the game (a perfect score is 300). This makes it probably the easiest game to master in the collection. Also, each time you play it, you can unlock a piece of trivia about the game. There are two pieces of trivia about Shooting Gallery:

1. Did you know balloons will pop if you pour lemon or orange juice on them?
2. UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. If you've seen one, be careful who you tell.

Personal story: Never played a real-life carnival shooting game, or any virtual simulation of one, before this.
