TRANSITIONING AN #ORCHID INTO A DIFFERENT SET-UP, MEDIA, FROM ORGANIC TO INORGANIC, is always a delicate manoeuvre. However, I still go ahead and do this with my Phalaenopsis, DESPITE NOT EVEN having the correct signals to do so for maximum success. My reasonings are that it is already mid July and this #orchid needs warmth around her root system, to feel comfortable and if I leave it any longer, I will be running out of time to make this transition a success. I also discuss my thoughts behind cutting a spike off, or leaving it on! How I treat the root system and why I do not use H2O2 in this case. Basically... every transition process is tricky, so I feel like a beginner doing this, although I do have a success ratio of 80% getting a Phalaenopsis established into #leca and self-watering. #Orchidcareforbeginners
