Will the US ban TikTok? Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he was looking into banning TikTok as well as many other Chinese apps. China has been behind major hacks of American data, like the Office of Personnel Management hack, the Equifax hack, and the Anthem hack. The Chinese Communist Party has sinister plans for American data and the fact that Tik Tok is owned by ByteDance, a Chinese company, means trouble.
