The first day of the DNC Convention came across like "binge watching a Marriott commercial" (in the memorable phrase of Marianne Williamson). Even the highlight of the evening--the speech by Michelle Obama--came across as dull and uninspiring. The Democrats seem to believe they can ignore the riots and looting and movement to defund the police that their mayors and governors have supported and succeed in November. But it ain't going to happen. They got no "bounce" from selecting Kamala Harris as VP and they will get no bound from this extended infomercial.
