Making Peppermint Twist Soap

We like to name our soaps after song titles and what better song to choose for peppermint than Peppermint Twist by Chubby Checker?
This soap was a remake of a soap we made last year. I originally designed it to be a holiday soap, but then I started thinking that peppermint is amazing all year round. Think about it. After a hot summer day, taking a shower using peppermint soap can make your skin feel cool and refreshed, just like your mouth feels after eating a peppermint candy.
To make this soap we separated the batter into three colors- red, white and just a little bit of black. I put all of the batter into the mold and used a hanger tool to make the amazing swirls that you see. This soap is made with aloe, kaolin clay, and our blend of nourishing oils. Aloe helps to revitalize your skin giving it a youthful glow without clogging your pores while kaolin clay is said to absorb oil and it helps the soap glide across your skin giving it a silky smooth feel.
