Independence Day is about Liberty!

What does Independence Day mean to you? This is what it means to me! It's a day to celebrate not only our liberation from the world's largest super power of the day, ENGLAND, but my freedom from sin and death in CHRIST! Independence Day was the first Brexit. So, when I see people here in Chicago blowing off fireworks who embrace socialism, I hear the words of Frederick Douglass echo once again in 2021. "This Fourth of July is yours, not mine, You may rejoice, I must mourn" Think about that. Why are we embracing tyranny through socialism, medical and forgetting the importance of the day? The same hypocrisy that existed then, still exists today.

"… Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" Romans 2:4. The purpose of the United States. For me, it's the Bible, it's freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The grace of Christ should bring us to humility to do what is right and obey the Gospel of Christ. That's America!

POINTLESS OBSERVATION: It's interesting but the King James Bible came to be right before the birth of America. We finally have a book with God's Word for the People. The USA is a country for WE THE PEOPLE.
