The Raw Deal (28 June 2021)

Today NATO commences its large-scale naval operation in the Black Sea, which involves some 32 ships representing some 30 nations. But the intrusion into Crimean waters, which was a deliberate provocation order by UK PM Boris Johnson, may have consequences far beyond what the world might prefer. Russian military equipment--including its anti-missile missiles, its anti-ship missiles, and its torpedoes are far superior to US, UK and NATO's where exchanges between these forces are unlikely to turn out favorably for the West. As Tom Lehrer has sung, "the party will be 'come as you are'!"
