Protests for autonomy in Uzbekistan

Protests for autonomy in Uzbekistan’s Republic of Karakalpakstan gaining significant momentum in the last days.

The government declared a state of emergency till 3rd August in the region. The military was deployed to the area and there are also cases confirmed of some heavy injured / killed protesters after clashes
