Roe or rather Norma McCorvey was the centerpiece in the argument of Roe vs. Wade. She was a woman that felt trapped and without an escape from unwanted pregnancy. In the 70s there were not too many options that would ease her burden or give her solace in what she was about to do. Her case would be the opening salvo of The Feminist Movement to empower women in the "myth" of the man's world. The empowerment would lead the argument to the U.S. Supreme Court, which not only provided a "non-person" status to the unborn in their unprecedented decision to legalize abortion.
