Huge explosion rocks block of flats as blaze engulfs building in Bedford

A FIRE has broken out following a large explosion at a block of flats.

Two people are in hospital, one with serious injuries, after the blaze engulfed the entire three-storey building of 20 flats.

And a large portion of the roof collapsed due to the fire, caused by a gas explosion.

Adam Fisher, 37, said he heard a "huge explosion" before witnessing "an inferno" on Redwood Grove in Bedford.
