JOHN THE BAPTIST, AND BLACK SABBATH
Black Sabbath??!! A band commercially known as devilish performing a pro-Jesus, pro-religious/spiritual song?! That's right!! It was released in 1971 and a staple in their concerts from then until now.
I had an idea (Anointed with the idea??) for over a month. The idea was creating a video of John the Baptist preaching and the song is what he is saying.
This morning I felt—heavily—Divinely inspired to create it and publish it now. Perhaps it also had to do with an incredible sermon I heard earlier this morning, “Timing is Everything, by Bishop T.D. Jakes.”

I favor creating a video with a corresponding song. The connection is usually the lyrics, though sometimes it is just the title and/or the similar “vibe,” the emotion, between the tune and the scenes. I do this, as best as I can, with all my videos. “John the Baptist, and Black Sabbath,” is the most remarkable, astonishing, video I have created because:
1. Its creation time was the shortest of all my vids, just several hours.
2. I have never produced a video where the song’s lyrics matched so perfectly with what the person in the scene is saying.
3. Editing was a beyond easy.
4. I felt, sensed, enjoyed, and gave thanks for the help from Above. I give credit to The Lord for ALL my successes and positives, from improving health to a new meal recipe! (This righteous credit-giving also includes my secular videos.)
I chose for the video clips Michael York’s version of The Baptist from “Jesus of Nazareth.” His fiery performance was by itself terrific, and perfect for this hard rock tune.
“But, Black Sabbath?!” you may still be thinking.
I agree that on the surface this is an outlandish example of polar opposites. I will simply add that the issue is not this dissimilar pair, but that this is—just perhaps—another example of how God uses “bad” for “good.” Rehab and Mary Magdalene were both prostitutes. Moses was a murderer. Paul, as Saul, was a major persecutor of Christians, overseeing their arrest and punishments. The Lord, in His infinite wisdom and humanly unfathomable ways, used them for “good,” i.e., His purpose.
Lastly, about the band: listen to the lyrics.
Thank you.
P.S. I do not own the video clips nor the song in this video. All copyright go to their respective owners.
