Based on Yasuki Tanaka's genre warping manga of the same name.

Upon hearing of Ushio's death, Shinpei returns to his hometown of Wakayama City on Hitogashima Island and reunites with his childhood friend's family.
The funeral goes smoothly, but under the surface something strange is brewing on the island. Ushio's younger sister Mio says she saw her sister's shadow few days before her death. They then go to a temple at the northern part of the island to find more about it but then something strange happens..
