Living with Intensity

What is your consuming passion in life? Is there anything that you value more than yourself? I want to challenge you to make Jesus Christ the consuming passion in your life. Christ calls us to believe in Him and His promise of eternal life so much that we are willing to sacrifice everything for Him if necessary.

John the Baptist was that kind of intense believer. John's dedication to Christ cost him his freedom and then his life. I'm sure a lot of people in that day thought John was a ridiculous fanatic.

​Jesus said, “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
