A Moveon.org petition calling for the impeachment of Clarence Thomas has now amassed over 1 million signatures. Several media outlets have covered this and some commentators are calling for the impeachment effort to go through. Many media outlets have been trying to subvert Thomas in other ways, by suggesting his dissent on an assault weapons ban for Highland Park in 2013 had some connection to Robert Crimo's murderous rampage on July 4th. Others say that Clarence Thomas wants to undo gay rights and other protections established by caselaw after his support of the Dobbs case which overturned Roe v. Wade.
