Plans filed for a big mixed-use residential project in Apopka A massive development is in the works in Apopka that would add nearly 1,000 homes and apartments to the fast-growing suburb. The "Kelly Park Property Major Development Plan" went before the city’s development review committee June 1 and will go before the board once more after a few outstanding comments are resolved. The plan includes 670 single-family homes and 300 multifamily units, meaning the project eventually would bring 970 housing units online. The property is bordered by Ondich Road to its north, with Kelly Park Road located south of it. On the south side of the road are a robust town center and mixed-use development on a 237-acre property.
