🐝🛠️ THICK HIVE BODY DESIGN THAT WORKS🛠️🐝

I designed this hive body about 18 years ago to help my bees. The original idea was to help the bees make it through the winter by giving them a thicker wall and more insulation. It worked very well in Michigan and the only reason I have not used it in Tennessee is . . . I forgot I had them in the honey house, haha.

I will try and start using them again and see how well my bees do in them. They do seem to fan less on the hot days and not have to work as hard. I will keep track of the difference when I get the thick body hives back in use in the bee yard.

The honey supers are the same thickness that is the standard size. I only made the brood boxes double thick.
