HOW I use my INORGANIC mounts & WHY I prefer these to any other more traditional method.
#IonopsisPopcornHaruri #Inorganicmounts #Howtomountanorchid
In my Mediterranean climate, I have certain hurdles to overcome. One of these is the watering and humidity needs of orchids on mounts. During the winters, I have to be careful with watering, allowing plenty of time for the orchid to dry out before the night falls, however, during the hot summers, I have to not only water abundantly to support the orchid while in active growth, BUT I also have humidity challenges due to very hot winds, that dry everything out in a heartbeat. So, I have chosen a form of inorganic mount, which I can water to my heart's content during the summer, and apply water cautiously during the winter. They also serve another great purpose... remossing is not detrimental to the roots, as they come of easily and can be maintained with minimal disturbance / loss. Thank you very much for watching this video. It may appear to be long, for what it actually is, but I thought it relevant as a first video of how I use my inorganic mounts, to make it a little more comprehensive. So... I will be able to refer to this video in future, should there be any questions in the future. I really appreciate your time! Any questions? Fire away in the comments below! I embrace our interaction!
